3 unique playgrounds in Toa Payoh

Hello everyone,

During week 2 of our June holidays, we visited three unique playgrounds in Toa Payoh.

1) Play @ Height Park

Located at Toa Payoh Lorong 2, you will find three fun playgrounds.

The boys first played the green playground. It has a long and wavy linkway and slides.

After perspiring from all the running, they played at the water playground. The design of the water playground is the design of a ship.

Besides the water play area, there is a sand pit with swings and zip lines. The kids can have some fun building sandcastles and have a good sensory sand play time!

2) Playground at Toa Payoh Lorong 2

This playground is rather unique as it was built on slopes and children can climb up the slopes using the ropes.

At the hill top, they have bouncy nets for children to continue climbing.

3) The Dragon Playground

Located at 28 Lorong 6, the Dragon Playground, reminisces my childhood days at the playground.

I love connecting experiences to writing. After that, I asked big L which playground he enjoyed playing. Surprisingly, he told me that he enjoyed playing at the Dragon playground.

Thus, we read the book, “ At the Dragon Playground,” from Timmy and Tammy series. Then we did an art work on the Dragon playground. This was followed by a guided writing where I guided him to write using the story mountain to write his experiences.

I also use the sense of sight writing strategy from The Writer’s Club lesson 1 to guide him to write details in the middle paragraph.

I hope that this June holidays, you will get to bring your little ones to try some of these unique playgrounds in Singapore.

Have a good week ahead, everyone!

Xoxo,

Lynette
